Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri

Muslims all over the world are still celebrating Ramadan - a holy month. This is a month that warrant good behaviours to all Muslim believers. We are to "see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil and do no evil".

Hari Raya, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. Because the day depends on the sighting of the moon, the sighting can only be possible just after sunset. For those living in Brunei Darussalam, the moon will be sighted tomorrow. If the moon is observed, Hari Raya will be celebrated on friday. If not, saturday is Hari Raya/Eid Mubarak. For Muslims, Eid ul-Fitr/Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a joyous occasion with important religious significance, celebrating of the achievement of enhanced piety. It is a day of forgiveness, moral victory, peace of congregation, fellowship, brotherhood and unity. It is a time of giving and sharing.

Takbir is a Muslim tradition which is usually observed on Hari Raya.
The Takbir is recited after confirmation that the moon of Syawal is sighted on the eve of the last day of Ramadan.

Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر
la ilaha illa Allah لا إله إلا الله
Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar الله أكبر الله أكبر
wa li-illahi al-hamd ولله الحمد
God is the Greatest, God is the Greatest, God is the Greatest
There is no deity but God
God is the Greatest, God is the Greatest
and to God goes all praise
To all my Muslim sisters and brothers, Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Maaf Zahir & Batin. Eid ul-Fitr to all of you.
